Sowing Seeds with the Power of Prayer
~ Helping the Homeless

We know that the homeless shouldn’t be left alone.

Since the Coronavirus lockdown started,
we have taken prayer and 10,000 simple meals
out to our homeless friends
on the streets of downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Over the holidays last year, to share in the Christmas spirit,
we made four complete holiday turkey dinners
and took them out to the homeless in downtown.

We ask their names, ask if they’d like to pray,
and ask God to answer their prayers,
in accordance with His will for them.

We’ve been helping meet basic needs.
We’re praying and providing care and fellowship.
We help people as they endure the wait for housing assistance,
and we pray for God’s guidance
for those who find a path back to work and a home.

Most importantly, we are bringing the love of Jesus Christ
to people who may feel forgotten and who truly need help.

Our larger mission?
To help each person find renewed life in Jesus Christ
according to God’s plan, with a home,
good health, plenty of nutritious food,
and a purpose in a loving, Christian community.

We’re just beginning,
and we know that we can get there.

In Your Name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Sowing Seeds with Nourishing Nutrition
~ Helping the Hungry

We know that everyone needs to eat.

God knows that, as He created us that way,
and He provides through the fruit of the earth
all that would make us healthy and sound
in spirit, mind, and body.

God is our Father in Heaven,
and He wants His food to go to people.
This work of ours is His work.

During the Coronavirus lockdown in Nashville, Tennessee,
we hand-delivered 2,000 food boxes and gallons of milk
from the CARES Emergency Relief Act
to the doors of the elderly, the disabled and terminally ill,
to people who lost their jobs due to the pandemic and
to the poor and to the poor without transportation.

We helped coordinate two semi-trucks full of food boxes and milk
and distributed the food and milk from those drop-off points.

We also bought weekly groceries for the elderly and the sick,
and we made meals to last for days and delivered them.

On Christmas day last year, we took Christmas dinner
to the elderly and the disabled and the poor
to bring the Christmas spirit into their homes.

Right now we are starting the process
of distributing more food in Nashville,
to share the Love of Jesus Christ with everyone.
We will let you know about it
as we have the details!

In Your Name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.
